Letter to the editor: Kobach again? Let’s do better

To the editor:

Kris Kobach, fresh from his court-ordered remedial lawyering course for a losing case that cost Kansas taxpayers approximately $1.9 million, now believes he is qualified to serve as Kansas attorney general.

In addition to acting on his “100 pro-life” convictions, he proclaims he would use the position to embroil the state in costly and fruitless attempts to sue the Biden Administration whenever the spirit moves him.

We can conclude from Kobach’s public statements and his hunger for notoriety that one of his targets will be the election of President Joe Biden in 2020. Apparently, Mr. Kobach also needs remedial math, as he parrots the lie that Trump won that election, despite Biden receiving 7 million more popular votes and taking the electoral vote 306 to 232. Not a one of the hapless investigations into “voter fraud” launched by Kobach and Rudy Giuliani has changed those numbers. But, for Kobach, hope springs eternal, as long as Kansans ignore elementary addition and keep footing the bill.
