Letter to the editor: Not Kobach again

To the editor:

A hot shower has been the only antidote to this most recent spate of election ads, leaving voters slimed and miserable in their wake. The specter of Kris Kobach campaigning for governor (2018), brandishing a machine gun from an open Jeep, is still fresh from his last attempt to slip back into state power, this time aiming for Kansas attorney general.

Meanwhile, election-denier Derek Schmidt hopes voters forget his failed legal attempt to decertify Joe Biden’s 2020 election. Parading Ron DeSantis and Ted Cruz on their frenetic campaign trails only emphasized their authoritarian lobbyist-backed political aspirations. Kansas voters are in hot pursuit of decency, fairness, civility and legislation that supports our citizens, not the chaotic national political machines that seek to gobble up voters on their collective path to soul-withering conquest. Kansas voters have devastating memories — and we’re smarter than you think.
