Letter to the editor: Love it here

To the editor:

Wednesday I participated in the vaccination process at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. The weather was miserable, but the people were amazing, and the experience was very efficient. The entire process took me about 30 minutes, and that included the 15-minute post-vaccination wait in the “holding tank” area. The logistics management was excellent; it was easy to navigate the vehicle “Disneyland lines,” and each and every person along the way was friendly and helpful. Every single one. While receiving my first vaccine filled me with hope and relief, it was the myriad of smiling, helpful people along the route that made me proud and happy to live in Douglas County. So grateful for the wonderful people who organized this immense process, and those making it happen, all decked out in rain gear and, occasionally, St. Patrick’s Day festiveness. I love me some Douglas County. Just saying.
