Letter to the editor: Accountability

To the editor:

Regarding “Marshall: Impeachment Trial Would Further Divide the Nation,” Jan. 20, 2021:

Kansas Sen. Roger Marshall, after supporting the big “election fraud” lie that incited the Capitol mob on Jan. 6, says it’s time to move on without demanding accountability because impeachment would “raise already heated temperatures.” Sorry, Sen. Marshall, the train left the station on raising heated temperatures when

the arsonist-in-chief and his enablers poured gasoline on hot embers. We must prosecute arsonists and without fear that it will provoke them to light more matches. He probably told his kids and grandkids when they were bullied in school, “Just give them your lunch money. You mustn’t make them angry by refusing to be bullied.”
