Letter to the editor: Detail the allegations

To the editor:

An open letter to our senator-elect:

Dear Sen.-elect Roger Marshall,

I am one of your constituents. You are entitled to take a position in support of Donald Trump’s attack on the election results. But “fraud” is a serious charge, and I am entitled to know why you make it.

Will you please answer these questions:

1. Where is the fraud you say exists? In which state or states? In which county or counties in those states?

2. Exactly what is the fraud? Did someone stuff a ballot box? Fail to count all the ballots? Destroy Republican ballots? Just what is it you say happened in each of these locations?

3. Exactly what evidence do you know of to support the allegations of fraud? Who committed it? Full names please. When was it committed? On which day or days, and at what time? How was it committed? Please give us the details. Who witnessed it? Again, full names please. How many instances were there? And how many votes to you contend were affected in each instance?

If you have this evidence, it is your obligation to share it and to do so at once — before you participate in any action in the Congress to overturn the election.

If you do not have this evidence, then your are yourself interfering with our nation’s electoral process.

Thank you.

Bill Sampson,

Lawrence
