Letter to the editor: Please uphold your oath

To the editor:

Dear Sen. Jerry Moran,

You have one last chance to separate yourself, your political party and your nation from Donald Trump, who is likely to be judged by history as the worst of all American presidents. Although you voted against the Senate’s decision to continue with the impeachment trial, you are now expected to decide whether Trump is guilty or innocent of inciting insurrection. You owe it to your constituents to explain your decision based on the evidence presented during the trial, regardless of your opinion on the constitutionality of impeaching a former president. It is obvious what you need to do to uphold your oath and protect American democracy.

Arthur Neuburger,

Lawrence
