To the editor:

Freshman Kansas Sen. Roger Marshall is being disingenuous when he compares Trump’s impeachment trial after he has left office to that of impeaching former President Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton after they left office.

No! He is cleverly comparing apples to oranges.

Former President Donald Trump was impeached by the U.S. House while still in office! That makes all the difference.

Marshall may be fooling some people, but only those in his own party! He isn’t fooling any Democrats nor any old-school Republicans. Most voters can tell when they are being fed a line of BS, and that’s what we are getting from Marshall now.

Marshall should grow a back bone or leave the Senate. His choice!
