Letter to the editor: Great vaccination job

To the editor:

Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health and the many volunteers who help people get vaccinated for COVID at the county fairgrounds deserve high praise. The well-organized system efficiently vaccinates as many as 2,000 people in their cars in one day, using multiple lines to speed up the process. The volunteers are very helpful with their friendly, enthusiastic manner, making people feel comfortable. With the right approach, government-sponsored efforts like this one can do their jobs well.
