Letter to the editor: Medal-winning performance
To the editor:
The Douglas County Health Department deserves to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
I went through the COVID vaccination process recently and felt like I was attacking the beaches at Normandy. It was a masterful application of queue theory and went off like clockwork. Three thousand and eight hundred people were vaccinated in their cars in a space of about four hours, and everyone was treated with the utmost respect by courteous volunteers.
When I get my second vaccination I will take a stack of 20s and try to pass them out every time I get a chance, but I doubt they will be accepted.
