Letter to the editor: The real corruption
To the editor:
As a lifelong Democrat, I have never seen so much corruption — under Republicans. A recent letter writer focused on 29-year-old Kamala Harris’ affair with the mayor of San Francisco in 1994. I worked there then, and the affair was not “the talk of San Francisco.” An affair makes her corrupt? Wait a minute. We have a president who has a multitude of sexual assault accusers, has committed adultery multiple times, paid off porn stars, bragged about grabbing women’s genitals and kissing them at will; that’s OK?
Democrats are corrupt because of Harris’ affair and Hunter Biden gets a job in Ukraine? And the Trump family? They are making millions off taxpayers and their businesses, and they work in the administration without legitimate security clearances, and numerous contacts of the president have been arrested, convicted and imprisoned, unless they are pardoned by this same president, and they admire dictators. Can’t people see the irony and hypocrisy?
Breitbart is not unbiased news but an extremist far-right platform supporting the president. Steve Bannon worked at Breitbart after its start in 2007 and ended up working on the president’s campaign. Bannon just got arrested on suspicion of stealing donors’ money intended for building “the wall” and instead spending it on his rich lifestyle. Trump had to return students’ tuition for the fake Trump University. Corruption in this administration is beyond belief, and yet writers and newscasters on the far right go out of their way to distort and magnify myths that are not true or relevant.
