Letter to the editor: Corrupt Democrats
To the editor:
I gained a deeper understanding of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris after reading “Profiles in Corruption,” a book by investigative reporter and Breitbart News editor Peter Schweizer.
While Biden was vice president the author reports on several lucrative deals Biden’s son Hunter had with companies owned or controlled by the Chinese government where Hunter had no background or experience other than being the vice president’s son. The list of similar deals goes on and on from there.
The author also sets forth how Kamala Harris’ entrée into political power began with a date with Willie Brown in 1994. At the time Brown was the second-most powerful man in California politics. Although estranged from his wife, Brown was married during his relationship with Harris. He was 60 and Harris was 29. Their affair was the talk of San Francisco. Brown put her on two state commissions with salaries of approximately $200,000 a year combined for these two part-time posts. Brown’s continued support of Harris is documented in the book as she rose within the Democratic party. The author outlines how throughout her tenure as both district attorney and attorney general she had a blind eye for criminal conduct by friends of Willie Brown and that justice was given to political allies or exchanged for political favors.
