Letter to the editor: Movies downtown

To the editor:

Friday’s Journal-World had an article saying that the Regal Theatre chain has closed all its theaters, including Lawrence’s largest theater, Regal Southwind. Luckily, we still have our own locally owned Liberty Hall theater, right downtown at Seventh and Massachusetts. It continues to show blockbuster movies on the weekend, including “Jimmy Carter: Rock and Roll President,” “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back” and “Kajillionaire.” Why not go to a movie downtown?

Frank Janzen,

Lawrence
