Letter to the editor: KU is being a bully

To the editor:

The University of Kansas will get $15.1 million of COVID-19 funds.

It behooves KU to give the refunds for housing and dining and not be engaged in a lawsuit. Furthermore, returning students should be offered a 10% discount on housing and dining. Set an example! Do something to attract them back. KU is becoming less “special.”

A prediction of 12% drop in enrollment will likely be 20% for the bad PR the University of Kansas is promoting.

Chancellor Douglas Girod and the Board of Regents, take the lead. You want KU to be the flagship university of Kansas? Then show your stuff! A lawsuit sets an image of being the big bully! Give the money back and be gracious about it.

Lawrence
