To the editor:

Seldom over the years have I agreed with the Lawrence Journal-World; however, they hit it out of the park with their assessment of Late Night.

This obviously is my opinion, but I believe coach Bill Self and Athletics Director Jeff Long knew exactly what they were getting in Snoop Dogg. I believe the vetting was done and they decided most of the fans would love him and for sure the recruits (pole dancing, fake money shot in their direction will).

Hopefully the coaches do a better job scouting other teams than they did with Snoop Dogg. I have been a die-hard fan since 1992, Roy Williams and Self, but this Late Night was a disgrace for KU and Lawrence, and I am embarrassed that my friends know I’m a Jayhawk fan.

I will get a lot of feedback, negative for sure, from my friends, but how can anyone trust KU officials again to do the right thing?
