Letter to the editor: Aid and comfort to enemy?

To the editor:

Donald Trump, who was president of the United States when last I checked, publicly read a criticism of Joe Biden written by Kim Jong Un, whom he looks forward to working with. The last I heard about the United States’ relationship with Korea, we were in a state of cease fire and have not reached a solution to the military conflict into which we, as part of a United Nations, entered in 1950.

We still monitor North Korean movements in the DMZ (demilitarized zone). This is not a state of alliance with North Korea. The question that needs to be answered is whether Mr. Trump’s chummy relationship with Mr. Kim amounts to aid and comfort to an enemy of the United States.

Just a query from an old cold warrior who has not yet been shoveled under.

Earl L. Haehl,

Lawrence
