John Peter Heim

John P. Heim, of Lawrence, found peace on November 20, 2013. He was born on December 8, 1923 in Wilkes-barre, Pennsylvania (the son of August and Verena Heim). In 1960 he married Madeline Workman in Salt Lake City, Utah and they remained married until her death in 2006. John was a chemical engineer and retired from Hercules, Inc. in the 1980s. He was preceded in death by his wife Madeline, and her son Michael. He is step-father to Marilene Alford and Deanna McWilliams (both of Lawrence). A mass celebrating John’s life will be held at St. John’s Catholic church on Monday, November 25th at 2pm.
