All schools and activities will begin two hours later than normally scheduled on Friday, due to the wintry mix of ice and cold that has stayed in the Lawrence area.

District spokeswoman Julie Boyle said school families should take their normal start time for the school day and add two hours to it before sending their children to school. That means bus routes and school breakfast programs also will start two hours later than normal. Start times for schools in the district vary by location, so there is no one uniform start time to be announced.
