Students of the Lawrence school district will be learning from home for the next two days.

The school district announced in an email that Tuesday would be a remote learning day for all students because of frigid temperatures in the forecast and “challenges with adequately heating all buildings.”

The district is currently using its hybrid learning model because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and schools were expected to have at least a portion of their students in the building on Tuesday while others learned from home.

Wednesday will also be a remote learning day for all students, as originally scheduled under the district’s hybrid plan.
