Police officers were looking for the occupants of a black Nissan on Saturday after an early morning fight outside Replay Lounge led to gunfire according to a social media post by the Lawrence Police Department.
A fight broke out at the bar just before 2 a.m., and one man pulled out a gun and fired at least twice, sending people running for safety. No one was shot in the incident, the post said, but an employee who had tried to break up the fight was hit in the face and treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Officers recovered shell casings from the scene and LPD posted a photo of a black Nissan it said was registered to an owner in Topeka with a request to speak to the occupants.
The investigation is ongoing.
