Aaron Paul Borger is accused of sex crimes against multiple women at Om Grown Yoga in Baldwin City between March 2024 and April 2026.

A 45-year-old massage therapist has been charged with three more sex crimes, in addition to the 11 he was already facing.

The Douglas County District Attorney’s Office on Monday filed a second amended complaint charging Aaron P. Borger, who worked at Baldwin City’s Om Grown Yoga & Wellness Collective, with one additional count of rape and two additional counts of sexual battery. The new charges involve three new alleged victims.

Borger was originally charged with seven sex crimes, but that total was amended to 11 in April and amended again to 14 as of Monday. The charges are three counts of rape, five counts of aggravated sexual battery, all felonies, and six misdemeanor counts of sexual battery.

The number of listed victims now stands at 11, with three of the women having reportedly been victimized more than once. The women’s ages range from late teens to late 50s.

A 16-page arrest affidavit released by Senior Judge Nancy Parrish outlines why police believe they had probable cause to arrest Borger earlier this year. The affidavit, whose contents have not been proved in court, describes the experiences of numerous women who went to the Baldwin City business at 816 High St. believing that they would receive standard massages from a professional and left believing that they had been sexually violated. Borger allegedly misrepresented inappropriate exposure and touching to the women as therapeutically or medically valid.

Under Kansas law, digital penetration of the female sex organ without consent, no matter how slight, constitutes rape.

A news release from the City of Baldwin around the time of his April 8 arrest described Borger as a part-time massage therapist at Om Grown and said he also worked out of a chiropractor’s office in Grandview, Missouri.

Borger is being held in the Douglas County Jail on a bond of $500,000 cash or surety. His next court appearance is a status conference on Wednesday.

In addition to the criminal case, Borger and the yoga studio are also facing a civil lawsuit by one of the women he allegedly raped. The lawsuit lists four counts: negligence on the part of Borger and Om Grown, negligent hiring and supervision on the part of Om Grown, negligent infliction of emotional distress and violation of the Kansas Consumer Protection Act.

The suit alleges that Borger was unqualified to perform massages, that he posed safety risks to clients and that Om Grown “concealed its knowledge of the dangers.” The plaintiff, who reported the incident to police, alleges that Om Grown had received complaints about Borger touching clients in offensive ways and that Om Grown was vicariously liable for Borger’s conduct.

Borger has filed a handwritten answer to the plaintiff’s petition, denying that he committed any crimes and asking the court to stay the civil lawsuit pending the resolution of the related criminal case against him. Online court records do not indicate that a response has been filed by Om Grown.

Another male massage therapist, Joshua Salazar, who worked at Lawrence Thai Massage, 951 E. 23rd St., was arrested in June and has been charged with raping a 19-year-old client. The arrest affidavit in his case, however, has been completely sealed by Judge Stacey Donovan.
