Lawrence police are asking the public for help investigating shots that were fired on Harper Street on Wednesday.

According to a social media post from the Lawrence Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Harper Street around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday after someone reported hearing gunshots. Police found three spent shell casings in the road, but did not find anyone who was injured or any damage to homes or vehicles.

The post said officers looked for cameras that may have captured the events but didn’t find any. They are asking anyone who may have footage of the incident to contact dispatch at 785-843-0250.
