Cir Allen Keith Glover appears at a hearing on Jan. 17, 2025, in Douglas County District Court. He is charged with first degree murder in connection with the shooting death of 17-year-old Isaiah Neal on June 13, 2024.

A trial for a 19-year-old who’s charged with murdering another teen is now scheduled to take place in May instead of this month because of an attorney’s sudden medical issues.

On Friday, Judge Stacey Donovan rescheduled the trial for Cir Allen Keith Glover, 19, of Lawrence, to begin on May 5. As the Journal-World reported, Glover’s attorney, Michael Clarke, requested the delay earlier this week because of an unspecified medical issue he was having.

Previously, the trial had been scheduled to begin on Jan. 27. Details about Clarke’s medical issue were not discussed in court on Friday, and Deputy District Attorney David Greenwald said that the state did not object to the delay.

Glover is charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of 17-year-old Isaiah Neal on June 13, 2024, at 2406 Alabama St. Glover is currently in custody at the Douglas County Jail on a $1 million bond.
