A man accused of threatening a woman with a knife during a domestic dispute has been charged with multiple crimes stemming from an incident Sunday morning in Douglas County.
Daniel Louis Schuckman, 48, is facing five felony counts, including kidnapping, aggravated intimidation of a witness, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, interference with law enforcement and criminal threat; and two misdemeanor counts, including criminal deprivation of property and domestic battery.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, the dispute occurred Sunday morning in the 1500 block of East 400 Road, where he was accused of threatening a woman with a hunting knife. He did not comply for about an hour with instructions from deputies to leave the residence before he agreed to come out and was arrested, the sheriff’s office said.
While the sheriff’s office mentions a hunting knife, the charging document itself lists a machete.
Schuckman was released on a $50,000 own recognizance bond with enhanced monitoring. He is next scheduled to appear in court on March 25.
