Lawrence police are asking anyone with information about a shooting Friday night that damaged a home and multiple vehicles to contact them.

Police were called to the 100 block of North Michigan Street, in the Pine Hills community, just before 8 p.m. after people reported multiple gunshots.

Officers found no one shot or injured, but the home on Lot No. 6 had been struck multiple times along with four nearby vehicles, police said.

Several residents in the area described hearing the shots and taking cover, but nobody, including those in the damaged home, provided officers with a detailed description of who may have done it. Investigations personnel were called in to process the scene and collect evidence and found nearly two dozen spent shell casings of the same caliber on the ground, police said.

The investigation is ongoing. If you saw anything, have a private surveillance camera in the area, or know who may have done this, contact police dispatch at 785-843-0250 or Crime Stoppers of Lawrence-Douglas County at 785-843-TIPS (8477). Callers can remain anonymous.
