Ottawa police report the death of a 22-year-old Lawrence man; investigators find fentanyl

A 22-year-old Lawrence man was found dead on Tuesday in a residence in Ottawa, and evidence of fentanyl was recovered during the investigation, according to a news release from the Ottawa Police Department.

The name of the deceased has not been released, and the Ottawa Police Department said the investigation was ongoing. In the past week, Ottawa officers have administered Naloxone to two other people in the area, including a 17-year-old, after they were found unresponsive, according to the release. Naloxone is a medication designed to rapidly reverse opioid overdose.
