Lawson R. Marshall, 20, of Lawrence, was arrested Thursday evening at an apartment in the 4300 block of West 24th Place on suspicion of armed robbery, jail records show. He was charged Friday in Douglas County District Court with aggravated robbery for allegedly threatening a man and a woman with a knife and taking an undisclosed amount of cash.

The alleged incident occurred around 10 p.m. Sunday in a parking lot in the 4100 block of West 24th Place, according to a Lawrence Police Department news release sent Monday. That is near Clinton Parkway and Crossgate Drive.

Officers interviewed the alleged victims at the scene, and no one was injured, according to the release. The man’s address is in an apartment complex in the same block as the reported robbery, the booking log indicates.

The charge is a severity level 3 felony, with level 1 being the most severe.

A judge set Marshall’s bond at $30,000 cash or surety Friday, and his next court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 24.
