Missouri woman dies after 1-vehicle wreck near Lawrence airport

A woman who suffered serious injuries in a one-vehicle accident on Aug. 16 has died, according to an updated report from the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Kathy L. Robbins, 59, of Independence, Mo., was reportedly driving her 2018 Jeep Cherokee erratically, westbound on U.S. Highway 40 near North 1802 Road. The report says Robbins’ vehicle left the roadway traveling through a west ditch, then striking a tree and coming to rest on its wheels.

She was taken to the University of Kansas hospital, where she died late Wednesday, according to the updated report.
