Kansas Drag Showcase set for Saturday at Lied Center

The Kansas Drag Showcase is scheduled for Saturday.

Student Union Activities and the Student Engagement Center at the University of Kansas will hold the fifth annual Kansas Drag Showcase Saturday.

The event, hosted by performers Karamella Uchawi and Southern Hxll, will include eight other performers, four of whom are current KU students.

A full list of performers can be found at @suaevents on Instagram or Facebook. The Kansas Drag Showcase is set for 6 p.m. at the Lied Center. Tickets are free for KU, Haskell Indian Nations University and Baker University student ID holders and are $10 for the general public. Tickets can be purchased at lied.ku.edu.

All performers have been previous drag stars on a past version of Kansas Drag Showcase since 2021. The event will include a meet and greet, involvement fair, photo opportunities and the show itself. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. for those additional opportunities before the show begins at 6 p.m.
