Kansas Supreme Court justices to speak at KU on Tuesday

Two members of the Kansas Supreme Court will be making public presentations at the University of Kansas on Tuesday.

Justices Melissa Standridge and Keynen “KJ” Wall will talk about how judges are selected and retained in Kansas at a 12:30 p.m. event on Tuesday in Forum C of the Burge Union. Both justices are participating in a “brown bag” luncheon event hosted by KU law school and business school professor Amii Castle.

In addition to discussing the selection and retention process of judges, both justices are expected to talk about the overall role the court system plays in Kansas.

There is no admission charge for members of the public to attend the event. A brief meet and greet session is scheduled following the justices’ presentation.
