The Lawrence-Douglas County Chapter of Women for Kansas will be hosting a candidate forum for congressional candidates who will appear on the ballot in November.

The event will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vermont St. The Congressional District 1 candidates appearing at the forum are Democrat Lauren Reinhold and Libertarian Steve Jacob. Incumbent Tracey Mann, a Republican, is also competing for the seat, but he will not be in attendance at the forum due to “another engagement,” according to the event flyer.

The candidate forum will be moderated by local historian and educator Tai Edwards, who will be asking prepared questions to each of the candidates.

The event will be video recorded, but not livestreamed. Anyone who has questions regarding the event can contact Kelly Wall at w4klawrence.douglas@gmail.com or 620-222-1198.
