Lawrence Theatre's Youth Troupe will perform a two-night run of the musical Between the Lines on June 26 and June 27.
The summer show for Theatre Lawrence’s Youth Troupe is set for later this month with a three-show run of the musical Between The Lines.
The show, based on the young adult novel written by best-selling author Jodi Picoult and her daughter Samantha van Leer, will open on Saturday, June 26. On June 27, the young performers will put on a matinee performance and final evening performance. Tickets for the show are available online at theatrelawrence.com or by calling 785-843-7469.
The musical focuses on Delilah, who has been struggling with her parents’ divorce and a recent move to a new town and new school. Delilah soon finds a friend in Oliver, who happens to be a handsome prince from a storybook. As the lines between the real world and the fantasy world start to blur for Delilah, she works to confront whether she can find a fairy tale ending or whether her budding relationship with Oliver is just a fantasy.
Lawrence Theatre’s production is directed by Emily Giles, and the cast features 35 performers.
The first performance will open June 26, at 7:30 p.m. The performances on June 27 will be at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. All performances will take place at 4660 Bauer Farm Drive.
