Fans gathered in downtown Lawrence on Sunday to watch the Kansas City Chiefs play the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl in New Orleans. A win for Kansas City would have made NFL history – the first Super Bowl “three-peat” – but Philadelphia dominated the night, holding the Chiefs scoreless through the first half on the way to a 40-22 victory.
