KU fans can park free and catch a shuttle to all home football games.
The City of Lawrence is again providing free transportation from downtown Lawrence to KU’s football stadium.
Fans can park in downtown Lawrence for free, then catch a ride on Route 4 to and from all home games. Bus service in Lawrence is fare free. KU’s first home game is 5:30 p.m. Aug. 23 against Fresno State.
Here’s what you need to know:
PARKING
Parking in the lower level and ramp of the Riverfront Parking Garage near East Sixth and New Hampshire streets and the top level of the Vermont Street Parking Garage in the 700 block of Vermont will be free for weekend game days.
LOCATION
New this year: There is only one boarding location downtown for this service, at the bus stop in the 700 block of Vermont, across from the Lawrence Public Library. Look for the KU buses. Passengers using ADA transit service to the game will be picked up at both the Riverfront Parking Garage and the Vermont Street Parking Garage.
FREQUENCY
The service will run two hours prior to kick-off and 90 minutes after the game. For Saturday games, you can expect a bus to come every 20 minutes. On Friday games, buses will come every 15 minutes. Post-game service will run every 10 minutes and stop at both parking garages.
