There was a famous face in the crowd of corpses on Thursday night in the downtown Lawrence Zombie Walk: Kansas City musician Tech N9ne.

The artist, who told the Journal-World he was dressed as Dr. Satan from Rob Zombie’s 2003 film “House of 1000 Corpses,” walked past unsuspecting fans who were waiting in line for his sold-out show at the Granada.

Hundreds of people of all ages gathered at South Park for the annual spectacle, painting their faces, participating in a costume contest and shuffling around downtown in their spooky attire.
