Lawrence blanketed in snow for Thanksgiving weekend

A band of moderate to heavy snowfall developed early Saturday morning, covering Lawrence and continuing to move east.
One to three inches of snow fell in northeastern Kansas, mostly before noon, according to the National Weather Service, prompting snow-plows to hit the streets.
High temperatures through Monday were expected to be in the mid-30s, with lows in the teens. Tuesday’s temperature is expected to climb into the mid-40s and Wednesday’s into the mid-50s.
No additional snow was in the weekly forecast.
