The Douglas County Commission is set to meet Wednesday with a light agenda to address.

The commission, as of Tuesday, has only 11 items on its consent agenda. Typically, items on the consent agenda are passed all at once by a simple majority vote, unless a commissioner or member of the public pulls an item for further discussion and an individual vote.

The consent items include a blanket contract for 2023 legal services with county counselor John Bullock and approval of an agreement with the Kansas Department of Transportation to treat noxious weeds on state highways in Douglas County.

Wednesday’s meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Douglas County Courthouse, 1100 Massachusetts St. The meeting will also be available by Zoom. For meeting information, visit the county’s website: dgcoks.org/commissionmeetings.
