KU’s campus hosted not one, but two festive events on a mild spring Saturday: the Easter Egg Roll with Dole and the KU First Nations Student Association Powwow and Indigenous Cultures Festival.

Each year, the powwow celebrates the diversity of Indigenous cultures through dance, song and honoring ancestral traditions, as well as an art market where Native vendors sell their work. The Easter Egg Roll, meanwhile, is a staple of the Dole Institute of Politics’ spring programming and features egg hunts, craft projects and games for kids, including the White-House-style egg roll race from which the event gets its name.
