Lawrence’s Busker Festival, originally set for the end of May, has been rescheduled to September.

In January, the Journal-World reported that the Busker Festival would expand by a day this year. This remains true even with the date change, as the festival has been moved from one four-day weekend to another.

Now, the festival is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. on Sept. 4 and end on Labor Day, Sept. 7, at 6 p.m., according to a schedule posted on the Lawrence Busker Festival website.

According to the website, there will be three stages downtown, as well as other performance spots.

Festival organizer Richard Renner did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Journal-World, but it appears from the list of participating artists on the website that many performers are still able to participate despite the date change.
