The Kansas Turnpike Authority is investigating a deadly crash that happened on Interstate 70 early Friday morning.

First responders were called to the westbound lanes near milepost 190 at 2:20 a.m. for a reported two-vehicle crash.

According to radio traffic, the caller believed at least one person was trapped inside of a vehicle.

A LifeStar air ambulance was dispatched to respond to the scene.

Firefighters at the scene reported one person had been killed in the crash.

No details were immediately available.
