Arts-based workforce development nonprofit Van Go has announced that it’s actively seeking a new executive director and plans to make a hiring decision by early March.

Van Go shared details about the hiring process in an email message Wednesday afternoon. The nonprofit is asking interested candidates to apply by Jan. 31 and hopes to make a decision by March 8.

The announcement comes about a month after Van Go announced that longtime staff members Eliza Darmon and Kristen Malloy, who had served as co-executive directors at Van Go since the beginning of 2021, would be leaving their roles at the end of 2023. Van Go Board of Directors president Katie Winter has assumed an interim role to begin 2024, with Darmon and Malloy assisting with the transition in contract roles.

Van Go’s Wednesday message notes that the executive director role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including the overall administration, development, fiscal management, and program and facilities operations at the nonprofit.

“As importantly, the executive director will have a heart for our youth and a passion for our vision,” the email continues. “As a well-supported organization, we are looking for someone to be part of our organizational culture that is youth-centric and community-minded.”
