A Lawrence woman has been charged with molesting two young teens.

Alisia A. Cheek, 29, of Lawrence, made her first appearance in Douglas County District Court Tuesday, on charges filed July 9, according to court records.

The lewd touching or fondling of the children occurred in late 2017, the criminal complaint against Cheek alleges. She is charged with aggravated indecent liberties with a child who was 13 and indecent liberties with a child who was 14, according to the complaint.

Cheek, arrested Monday, remained jailed this week on $100,000 bond, according to jail and court records.

The Journal-World requested Cheek’s mugshot from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday but did not immediately receive a response as to whether it would be released.
