Jayhawks holding steady at No. 3 in AP Poll

Tonight’s Big Monday battle between Kansas and West Virginia is now officially a clash between Top 10 teams.

In the latest Associated Press poll, released Monday morning, Kansas (22-3 overall, 10-2 Big 12) maintained its spot at No. 3 — behind No. 1 Gonzaga and No. 2 Villanova — and West Virginia (20-5, 8-4) jumped up from No. 13 to No. 9.

The Jayhawks and Mountaineers will square off in a rematch of WVU’s victory in Morgantown earlier this season at 8 p.m. at Allen Fieldhouse on ESPN.

Fellow Big 12 foe Baylor jumped back into the Top 5 to No. 4, up two spots from last week, and Arizona made the leap four spots from No. 9 to No. 5 to round out this week’s Top 5.
