Letter: Care choices
To the editor:
U.S. Rep. Lynn Jenkins was quoted in the Journal-World last Sunday. She said, “Americans are empowered when they are free to make their own health care decisions.”
In 2012, Americans citizens didn’t have universal health care. Citizens of 33 other industrialized nations did have universal health care. Until the passage of the Affordable Health Care Act, uninsured Americans had only ONE choice: GO TO THE HOSPITAL EMERGENCY ROOM.
God bless you, Rep. Jenkins, for rushing to their aid with such alacrity!
