A combination of rain and wind on Monday forced Lawrence High and Free State to postpone the baseball and softball City Showdowns.

Monday’s baseball game is rescheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday at Free State.

The two schools’ softball game will be played at 5 p.m. today at LHS.

A junior varsity softball doubleheader, which was scheduled for today, has been moved to 10 a.m. Saturday at LHS because of the varsity changes this week.

Meanwhile, the Firebirds’ and Lions’ boys golf teams were set to compete at the Leavenworth Invitational, which was canceled and has not been rescheduled.
