Letter: Divergent views
To the editor:
In taking his stance in opposition to gay marriage, the Rev. Terry Fox is quoted: “The Body of Christ is a powerful movement when it comes together” (Journal-World, July 7). That statement, in an of itself, has validity. However, the statement appears to assume that on the matter of gay marriage, the Body of Christ is of one mind — and it most certainly is NOT. Many Christians, including this writer, favor the rights of gay persons to marry and even to be ordained as ministers working within that same Body of Christ.
