Reaney swims medley relay

? Lawrence High product Emma Reaney swam the breaststroke leg on Team USA’s second-place 4X50 medley relay team at the FINA Short Course World Swimming Championships on Friday.

Reaney took over with the U.S. in second and had a split time of a personal-best 29.42 seconds, which put the team in first, but it eventually lost to Denmark.

The U.S. team finished in 1:44.92, behind Denmark’s 1:44.04.

Reaney also placed 10th and did not qualify for the finals with a time of 1:05.5 in the 100 breast semifinals.

She’ll swim in the 200-meter breaststroke on Sunday.
