Both westbound lanes of Interstate 70 northwest of Lawrence have reopened following an accident, according to the Kansas Turnpike Authority.

The KTA first sent out an alert about the closure shortly after 4:30 p.m. They confirmed they had been opened at 5:45.

The lanes were closed at mile marker 201.
