Dana and David Pump, who were linked to the current Kansas University ticket scandal in a Yahoo! Sports report Wednesday, have released a statement, according to a blog post by CBSsports.com’s Gary Parrish.

In the statement, the Pumps said they would be willing to meet with KU or federal agencies that have questions for them. Part of the statement on CBSsports.com also said:

“To be clear, we have always conducted our business operations in an ethical, legal, and professional manner. We were never contacted by the University of Kansas or any governmental entity in connection with this matter.”

The Pumps declined to answer any questions, instead choosing to release the statement, Parrish said in his blog.

It is the Pumps’ first public comment since the Yahoo! Sports article was published Wednesday.
