Brownback campaign launches iPhone app

Brownback unveils iPhone application

? U.S. Sen. Sam Brownback, a Republican candidate for governor, has launched what his campaign says is the first iPhone application in the country for a gubernatorial candidate.

“SamForGov” offers users a way to sign up to volunteer for the campaign, make contributions and keep up on Brownback’s candidacy, the campaign said Wednesday. It is available for free download from the iTunes App Store.

“Sam Brownback is running a grassroots campaign to connect with Kansans all across the state,” Brownback’s campaign manager, David Kensinger, said Wednesday.

“This application will help us reach Kansans right where they are, at a time and place most convenient for them,” he said.

Brownback seeks the Republican nomination for governor. No other major candidates have announced.
