The Kansas University Collegiate Veterans Association has scheduled a candlelight vigil recognizing those lost on Sept. 11, 2001, and during the War on Terror.

The event is set for 11 p.m. on Thursday on the northwest corner of Wescoe Beach on the KU campus. Attendees of the non-political event are encouraged to bring candles, though a limited number will be available. This year marks the third year the group has sponsored the annual event.

The Collegiate Veterans Association is a group founded by returning veterans intended to help other veterans assimilate to the college setting while reconnecting to their roots.
